Installing
- Open the Elsewhen-Setup file from your Downloads folder and follow the installer.
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. Windows shows this for apps it hasn't seen many people install yet.
- From the welcome screen, start a new book, explore the sample world, or import a project from Sudowrite or Word.
After you buy
Your license key arrives by email straight after checkout. In Elsewhen, open Settings → License & updates, paste the key and click Activate. The same installer becomes the full version, so there's nothing else to download.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- About 500 MB of free disk space
- For the optional local AI: a recent graphics card with 8 GB+ of memory makes it fast; it also runs, more slowly, on the processor alone
Updates install themselves: Elsewhen checks when it starts, downloads new versions in the background, and asks you to restart when one is ready. See the release notes.
